Kurt Stirnkorb, founder of Stirnkorb.com, worked on site as a full time developer for Consumer Guide for 5 1/2 years. During that time 2 public sites were built - one for consumer products reviews and one for automotive reviews. The sites were built to provide the consumer with the same information they had previously been able to obtain from printed magazines produced monthly, quarterly and annually by Consumer Guide. To accomplish this Kurt had to first help establish a development environment to eventually internalize web design that was previously out-sourced. The resultant dev team that formed accounted for significant cost savings to the company and the sites, in time, began to generate income previously unrealized. Over the course of 5 1/2 years, Kurt witnessed both sites go through 3 major re-designs, and each time he assisted with technical documentation, business requirement meetings, asset gathering and both front end and back end development. Kurt also single-handedly built an ad serving/banner rotation module and an administrative system that allowed non-technical persons to process partner syndication programs into the automotive review site in just minutes.
