Stirnkorb.com was sub-contracted to develop a retail sitelet for Porsche Cars North America. The focus of the project was the integration of a user generated content section that allowed visitors to upload videos of their vehicle engines being revved. A review admin module was built for which a community manager could use for approving, rejecting or modifying the content a user submitted. The sitelet also contained a system that allowed subsequent visitors to rate videos they had viewed. In addition to the sitelet a stand-alone widget compatible with multiple operating systems was also designed and built. The primary role of Stirnkorb.com with this project was that of creative lead. This consisted of creating the initial composites based on client-provided wire frames, modifying them into the final composites and then converting them to fully compatible HTML and PHP templates once they were approved. CSS was used extensively and Javascript was used in some places to control dynamic display, primarily for the stand-alone widget.
